Waterhouse Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is dedicated to teaching authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a welcoming and disciplined training environment. Our goal is to help students develop practical self-defense skills, improve their physical fitness, and build the confidence that comes from mastering a challenging martial art.

The academy is owned and operated by Zach Graham, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Professor Matt Waterhouse. After years of training and developing his skills under Matt’s instruction, Zach now leads the academy while continuing the technical approach and lineage that Waterhouse BJJ was built upon.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is unique among martial arts because it emphasizes leverage, technique, and strategy over size and strength. Through proper positioning, timing, and control, practitioners learn how to defend themselves and overcome larger opponents. These principles make BJJ one of the most effective martial arts for real-world self-defense.

At Waterhouse BJJ, classes focus on building strong fundamentals while allowing students to progress at their own pace. Each class includes detailed technique instruction, drilling, and live training so students can apply what they learn in a safe and structured environment.

Our academy welcomes students of all experience levels. Some train for fitness, others for self-defense or competition, but all share the same goal of improving through consistent practice and discipline.

More than just a martial arts school, Waterhouse Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a community where students support one another and grow together both on and off the mats.

If you have ever been interested in training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we invite you to come visit the academy and experience it for yourself.
